Viva Social — Content Moderation Policy

Effective: 2026-08-15

This policy explains what content is not allowed on Viva Social, what we do when we find it, and what you can do if we get it wrong. Our Community Guidelines describe the behaviour we ask of members; this document is the enforcement side of the same rules.

Prohibited content

The following are not permitted anywhere on the service — profile photos, prompts, bios, display names, chat messages, or images sent in chat:

How content is reviewed

Three things surface content for review:

  1. Member reports. Any profile, message, photo, or behaviour can be reported from the (…) menu, under one of the categories listed in the Community Guidelines.
  2. Automated detection. Our chat provider applies automated moderation to messages and images before they reach a recipient.
  3. Proactive review. Photos are checked against these rules before a profile becomes visible.

Reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team within 24 hours. Child safety reports are prioritised ahead of all other categories.

Moderation actions

Depending on severity and history, we may:

The tiering for common violations is published in section 9 of the Community Guidelines, so members can see in advance what a first, second, and third violation costs. We may skip straight to a permanent ban for severe violations — threats, harassment, underage misrepresentation, and anything involving a minor.

Permanent bans are enforced against the person, not just the account. Creating a new account to evade a ban is itself a violation.

Reporting

Members can report profiles, messages, photos, and behaviour from inside the app. You do not need to be matched with someone to report them, and blocking is immediate, silent, and independent of whether you also report.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Reports to us are not monitored in real time.

Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was actioned and you believe it was a mistake, email support@technologyadvantagesllc.com from the address or phone number on the account. Tell us what was actioned and why you think it was wrong. A different reviewer than the one who made the original decision will look at it.

We will not reverse actions taken for child safety violations.

Transparency and changes

We update this policy as we learn. Material changes are announced in-app 7 days before they take effect, matching the notice period in our Community Guidelines.
